  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from a recognized institution.
  • Must have 5 years’ relevant experience, with at least 3 in a leadership position.
  • A certificate / Diploma in Leadership, Diploma in Education Management, Guidance and Counseling or any other relevant course is an added advantage.
  • Registered with the TSC with relevant teaching experience.
  • Ability to analyze and review policies & procedures, and make recommendations to the management.

High School Teacher

Overall Job Purpose

The position is responsible for developing schemes of work and lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives, developing the appropriate skills and social abilities to enable optimum development of children and facilitate learning by establishing a relationship with students through organization of the learning environment. The job provides responsibility for exam materials – report books, evaluation records, class register, record book, lesson note books, record of work, schemes of work.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Implementation of integrated curriculum.
  • Monitoring, evaluating and reporting student’s progress.
  • In charge of school weekly duties.
  • Classroom management.
  • In charge of class co-curricular activities
  • Pastoral Care, Discipline, Guidance and Counseling
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor.

Academic and Professional Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized institution.

  • Must have solid training in teaching Competence Based Curriculum (CBC).
  • Relevant teaching experience.

Primary School Teacher

Overall Job Purpose

The position is responsible for teaching while offering holistic development, proper discipline, appropriate skills and social abilities to enable optimum development of pupils. The position provides responsibility for exam materials – report books, evaluation records, class register, record book, lesson note books, record of work, schemes of work.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • In-charge of class co –curricular activities
  • Pastoral Care, Discipline, Guidance and Counseling
  • A role model, mentor of other teachers and a guardian to pupils.

  • Minimum Diploma in Education (DPTE) from Kenya National Examination Council.
  • Registered with the TSC.
  • Must have solid training and experience in teaching Competence Based Curriculum (CBC).
  • Proficiency in English & Kiswahili; both written and spoken and technologically savvy.
  • Must be willing to work in any of MOHI’s Centers across the country.

Qualifications for ECDE Teacher

  • Minimum of ECDE Certificate/Diploma from Kenya National Examination Council.
  • Registered with TSC.
  • Must have experience and training in CBC.
  • Relevant experience inECDE and particularly in the new curriculum. 
Proficiency in English & Kiswahili; both written and spoken.
