We’ve partnered with Christian Missionary Fellowship to build 10 synthetic turf soccer fields over the next 10 years. These custom-made, low-maintenance, accessible fields will give thousands of children living in extreme poverty a chance to play, learn, and grow in a clean, safe environment.
Climb Mt. Kilimanjaro to Help Raise Funds!
We’ve partnered with CMF International to climb Mt. Kilimanajro to raise funds for the MOHI sports ministry. The registration deadline is September 30. Don’t miss out on this exciting opportunity!
Providing Opportunities
The majority of children living in extreme poverty have little access to education and no sports programs.
Building a low-maintenance turf field will give access and opportunity to thousands of children with no clean, safe place to play in a recreational, outdoor setting.
More than Soccer
Each field is a vessel to teach the gospel, build leadership skills, create healthy minds and bodies, and promote self-confidence in children and their families.
The sports ministry program complements our other ministry initiatives, such as church planting, education, and community development.
Our goal is to not only deliver important life lessons to the youth, but also engage their families to learn about Christian faith.
Our Progress
We completed the first soccer fields in the Baba Dogo community, a central location in the Mathare Valley, and they are accessible to four key MOHI centers and schools.
These fields also serve as a location where sports camp teams from the U.S. gather to host sports and team-building development programs.
