Your Church and MOHI
We come together with American partners to serve in some of the most disadvantaged communities in Africa by establishing a school, planting a church, and implementing holistic ministry (integrating education, economic empowerment, medical care, and spiritual development).
This approach to evangelism has proven incredibly effective in helping to end generational poverty while simultaneously spreading the life-transforming hope of Jesus.

What You Can Expect
Real Relationships
We desire a deep connection with our partners; our partners mean so much to us. As you pray for us, we will be praying for you. We want you to share in the highs, but also grieve with us in the lows. We will keep you informed and up-to-date with what’s happening and how God is working. Your participation meshes with what MOHI is doing on the ground. In a developed partnership up to 30% or more of your church’s families will connect personally through child sponsorship. Over time, dozens, or hundreds, from your church will go on a short-term trip to join the work in the community you partner with.
Hands On Mission Trips
Described as, “Come and do,” not, “Come and see,” MOHI offers a chance to go on short-term mission trips and personally experience how God is transforming lives. You’ll work side by side with our staff and engage in transformative evangelism. You’ll meet, spend time and build a relationship with your sponsored child. Trips are tailored to the skills and size of the team. Everyone is welcome. Trip participants are not likely to return home the same.
Local Leadership
MOHI is Kenyan-founded, Kenyan-led and many of our staff are from the communities they serve. Dr. Wallace & Mary Kamau are the founders and leaders of MOHI. They are joined by over 1,500 Kenyan staff, including pastors, teachers, social workers, cooks, and more. You’ll have an opportunity to encourage and empower these Christian brothers and sisters through your partnership.
Engagement and Transformation
MOHI’s mission is to transform lives through the hope of Christ. This ministry has the ability to change the lives of people and entire communities in Africa, but it also as the power to transform the people in your church. Through personal engagement via trips and child sponsorship, MOHI offers those in your church the opportunity to make personal, meaningful, life-giving, and God centered relationships. There is a place for everyone to be a part of MOHI.

Ways to Partner
Come on a Vision Trip
On a vision trip, you’ll meet inspirational African leaders, visit communities in need, and see opportunities where your church could partner.
Partner with a Community
Provide both physical support and spiritual hope for families by working with MOHI to support a school and a church plant in a specific community.
Help Sponsor Children
Ignite one-on-one relationships through child sponsorship. Sponsors have a chance to be connected to a global ministry and make a difference in a tangible way.
Bring Short-Term Teams
Your visits encourage and impact our students, staff, and community. MOHI’s broad, holistic ministry offers a very wide variety of ways to serve.
