Transforming Lochoredome with Your Support
On my journey to the Paris 2024 Olympics, I met Mary Kamau, a woman whose story would forever change my life.
Twenty-five years ago, Mary and her husband Wallace followed God’s calling to build a school in the heart of a disadvantaged community in Kenya.
That bold step of faith blossomed into what we now know as Missions of Hope International, an organization dedicated to transforming entire communities through education, economic empowerment, medical care, and the hope of the gospel.
Mary’s unwavering faith inspired me deeply. I made it my mission to raise awareness for their incredible work, even earning recognition in Reuters during the Olympics. But my journey with MOHI didn’t end there.
In May of 2025, I will travel to Kenya to witness the profound impact of this work firsthand.
Before I go, I have a powerful mission: to raise $100,000 to build a much-needed medical facility in Lochoredome, Kenya.
The Lochoredome Community: Facing Overwhelming Challenges
The Lochoredome community, located in the heart of Turkana County, faces some of the most severe health challenges in Kenya.
With a malnutrition rate of 30.6% and over 23% of children suffering from stunted growth, this community is in desperate need of support. Years of droughts, food shortages, and widespread poverty have compounded the issue, leaving families with limited access to proper healthcare services.
Currently, the nearest medical facility is over 70 kilometers away—and even that facility is under-resourced and unable to meet the growing needs of Lochoredome’s population.
This lack of healthcare means preventable deaths, untreated diseases, and a constant struggle for survival, particularly for women and children.
But together, we can change this.

Missions of Hope International (MOHI) is committed to transforming healthcare in Lochoredome by building a modern medical facility that will provide essential care and give this community the opportunity to thrive.
This facility will not just be a place for treatment—it will be a beacon of hope, bringing health, dignity, and the possibility of a better future to this underserved region.
As a leader in holistic ministry, MOHI is driven by the mission to transform lives through the hope of Jesus Christ.
The new medical center will be an extension of this vision, providing healthcare and empowering the community to take charge of their well-being. It will offer safe childbirth for mothers, timely vaccinations for children, and the chance for families to receive basic healthcare services without traveling long distances.
