Current stats:

Number of Students: 321

Number of Unsponsored Students: 189

Term Highlights:

  • We’re extremely proud to announce the availability of fresh, clean water within our school. A  school borehole was drilled and equipped with a hand pump in the first week of this term. Students are now benefiting from access to clean water, which serves a crucial role in cooking their meals, washing utensils, drinking, and maintaining classroom cleanliness according to our daily routine.
  • Our students have actively participated in school games competitions, excelling up to the sub-county level. The soccer team is advancing to the county championships. This exciting achievement marks the second time our school has nurtured student talents in this manner.
  • We thank the Lord for the successful completion of new restrooms for our students. The new facilities provide a more comfortable and hygienic environment for our students. We are grateful!

Transformation Story:

John* was welcomed to our school in early May 2022 when Missions of Hope International first arrived in the Nyakach area. He was grappling with sickle cell anemia and malnutrition due to a limited diet at home.

Our social worker noticed that he frequently missed school due to illness. Prior to MOHI’s presence, John’s family was unaware of the underlying issue, as they had limited access to healthcare resources. During MOHI’s health department screening, it was discovered that John’s symptoms were a result of sickle cell anemia.

Since being introduced to our school’s nutritious meals, his health has shown significant improvement. His progress has been particularly remarkable after his parents received guidance on managing John’s condition and providing the necessary medication for his well-being. As a result, his health, self-esteem, attendance, and academic performance have all experienced a positive transformation.

We hold onto our faith and pray that God will bless him with continuous good health, enabling him to continue his education until he completes his primary schooling and advances to higher educational levels.

We thank God for John and for the chance to witness the positive impact MOHI can have on a child and their family’s life. We are thankful for the opportunity to serve the children and families within Nyakach for the Glory of God.
