Center Overview

Kosovo

Kosovo is home to approximately 88,000 people whose main economic activities are small-scale businesses. The major religions in this community are Christianity and African indigenous religions.

Major challenges in the community include unemployment, crime, drug addiction (especially among the youth), illiteracy, teenage pregnancies, and school dropout (especially for boys able to gain employment for low wages).

Our Kosovo center has been able to grow in structure and the number of students. In addition to providing quality education, the center’s staff reach out to the community and evangelize to individuals, families, and groups.

The school building hosts the mother church of Outreach Hope Churches and their administration offices.

During the center’s existence, the community has experienced remarkable improvements in security, household income, infrastructure, and sanitation. Community members are constructing permanent structures to replace temporary shanties, an indicator of increased hope and community-building
