What happens after MOHI students graduate high school? They have an opportunity to join Manra!
Our Mnara (Swahili for “tower” or “monument”) is a nine month program that equips our high school graduates with additional skills and support they need for the next chapter of their lives. We desire for these young adults to grow, mature and become strong Christian leaders in their communities.

Every day, at our Kariobangi center, we teach single mothers, working fathers and young adults hands-on skills that build their confidence and empower them to change their lives and families.
Skills include fashion and design, hairdressing and beauty, knitting, jewelry-making, welding and fabrication, plumbing, and computer studies.

From a young age, Kevin dreamed of becoming an architect. However, growing up in the Mathare Valley slums, in a family that faced many challenges, his dream felt impossible. Then, in 2008, when Kevin’s mom connected with a Missions of Hope International (MOHI) social worker, Kevin was enrolled in a MOHI school, and his life changed forever. Through Kevin’s sponsors, and the sponsorship program, Kevin was given new opportunities to make his dream a reality.
