Church Partnerships That Transform Communities and Your Church
Discover how a long-term relationship with MOHI can empower your church to make a lasting difference through holistic, Christ-centered ministry in Africa.
A Partnership Built on Relationship, Presence, and Purpose
Missions of Hope International (MOHI) partners with churches to serve some of the most disadvantaged communities in Africa.
Through strong relationships with local leaders, we work together to provide education, economic empowerment, medical care, and spiritual development rooted in the hope of Jesus.
With more than 2,000 Kenyan staff serving over 32,000 students across 38 communities, MOHI’s ministry is built not on projects, but on long-term, meaningful connections.
Many churches have walked with the same community for a decade or more — growing trust, strengthening discipleship, and witnessing God’s transformative work firsthand.
What Makes MOHI Unique?
Kenyan Led
We are founded and led by Kenyans, with over 2,000 local staff.
Holistic
Our 360º approach helps address all forms of poverty.
Empowering
We provide a hand up not a hand out for lasting, sustainable change.
Multiplying
Transformation begins with a child, but ripples out to their family, neighbors and entire communities.
Engaging
From short-term trips to projects, there are lots of opportunities for hands-on work from partners.
Church Plants
We ensure every person in the communities we serve has access to a local church.
“I experienced hundreds of employees that were working for MOHI… committed to their neighborhoods and communites, because of the love of Jesus. And it was consistent. They were saying, we’re here, so that these people can know the love of Jesus.”

What You Can Expect
A Relationship That Goes Beyond a Project
Your church is matched with a specific community, allowing you to build relationships with local leaders, families, and students. Through regular updates, on-the-ground ministry, and shared prayer, your congregation becomes part of the community’s long-term story of transformation.
Mutual Transformation for Your Church
As God transforms lives in Africa, He also works deeply within your church. Congregations often experience renewed passion for God’s Kingdom, strengthened discipleship, and a widening vision of what it means to live out the Gospel.
Short-Term Trips That Support Real Ministry
MOHI creates short-term mission experiences designed not to “come and see,” but to come and do. Teams serve side-by-side with MOHI staff, supporting ongoing ministry and participating in evangelism and community outreach. These trips become catalytic moments that stay with participants long after they return home.
Ways to Partner
Come on a Vision Trip
On a vision trip, you’ll meet inspirational African leaders, visit communities in need, and see opportunities where your church could partner.
Partner with a Community
Provide both physical support and spiritual hope for families by working with MOHI by supporting a school and a church plant in a specific community.
Help Sponsor Children
Ignite one-on-one relationships through child sponsorship. Sponsors have a chance to be connected to a global ministry and make a difference in a tangible way.
Bring Short-Term Teams
Your visits encourage and impact our students, staff, and community. MOHI’s broad, holistic ministry offers a very wide variety of ways to serve.
