A Vision for Growth
CMF and MOHI began working together 16 years ago to support children and their families in the slums of Nairobi and other disadvantaged communities throughout Kenya. Since that time, partners like you have joined us in the journey. Working together, we have seen more than 20,000 children receive an education, 15 churches planted, and thousands of families rise out of poverty through holistic transformation. Thank you for the critical role you have played in this ministry.
As we have prayed together and planned for the future, it has become clear that there are ways for us to be even more fruitful in our ministries. We believe that the most effective way for both organizations to grow in our ministries is to transition Mission of Hope’s U.S. operations to an independent and dedicated team. We see this future autonomy over U.S. operations as a beautiful example of God’s blessing and the culmination of a successful partnership.
As a part of this transition, we have created a new entity called MOHI LLC to further establish Missions of Hope in the United States. We are hard at work upgrading technologies, assessing staff roles, setting up a MOHI U.S. office, and further establishing the MOHI brand. The CMF office team will continue to support MOHI child sponsorship and projects throughout this transition, ensuring that your partnership and donations are handled without disruption and with the utmost integrity.
We know that the coming months will require extra effort while we work through the countless details before us. Thank you for making these ministries possible. We continue to rely on your partnership, prayers and patience and we seek God’s will and strive to bring hope and transformation to the world.
FAQs About the MOHI/CMF Transition
Both MOHI and CMF have extensive ministries with plans for significant growth. Within 10 years, MOHI would like to see 100,000 children in their sponsorship programs operating in multiple countries. Continuing in CMF’s 70-year history of sending teams to do cross-cultural ministry in partnership with local ministries, plans are to have at least 300 missionaries serving in 40 countries within 10 years.
We believe that having a dedicated U.S.-based team that focuses solely on the needs of MOHI will best position both organizations to grow in the ways that God is leading us.
For MOHI, technology upgrades will help improve the donor giving and communication experience, provide for real-time data input at the school level and allow for data to be more easily shared. We will also further establish a presence for MOHI in the U.S., including a dedicated office, staff and marketing efforts.
For CMF, related technology upgrades will make for a smoother transition and position us for future growth across all areas of ministry. Throughout the transition, CMF will maintain oversight of donations and receipting and continue to assist sponsors and churches with their partnership needs.
MOHI’s US office is located in Phoenix, Arizona.
