We give glory to God for helping us to reach this far as a center. We can’t take it for granted. Thank you for your support and partnership as we work together to transform lives through Christ. Here are some of the successes and highlights we want to share with you.

Jim* is five years old and in our Kindergarten class. He comes from a family of three children under the care of a single mother. Jim’s mother suffers from depression and is unable to take care of herself or her three children.

During a home visit, our social worker met Jim, they noticed that Jim was of school going age but was not attending school. They decided to investigate the matter and find out why. Jim led the social worker to their little house in the Kavombo area near the school. Jim led the social worker to a run-down single-roomed house that had a strong foul smell; it was apparent that it had not been cleaned in a long time.

Our social worker sat to talk to Jim’s mother and find out what was going on. She told them that she has become overwhelmed by the pressure of life and found it difficult to take care of her family. She has been relying on the help of well-wishers who would help her feed and take care of her children.

It was clear to see that Jim’s family needed a helping hand. Our social worker went to report the issue to the head teacher in Ndovoini and Jim and his two other siblings were enrolled immediately.

It’s been a year since Jim and his siblings joined our school and they have improved tremendously. Since joining our school they have benefited from the feeding program that has improved their nutrition. They have also improved their personal hygiene and cleanliness.

We thank God for this transformation and opportunity to impact and change lives.

• We thank God for a successful PP2 graduation that was colorful and full of joy. Our little ones have now joined grade one this new year

• We thank God for having Traders point in our center. They toured the school and had fun with our learners
• We were pleased to have First Christian church touring our center.
• We were privileged to have Pioneer Bible Translators touring our center.

• Pray for our candidates who sat for their national exams last year, that they may have a smooth transition into their new classes and phases of education.
• Pray for our learners and parents for God’s provision during these trying moments of starvation and drought.
