Term 1, 2023

Praise God. Receive greetings from Kosovo Center! We are excited and thankful to God as we end the first term of this year. We thank God for his sufficient grace and provision for our staff and families through this term. We also thank God for you for partnering with us as we work towards transforming the lives here in Kosovo through Jesus Christ .

Jane* and her husband live in the Kosovo community near our Center. They are both casual laborers and were finding it difficult to make ends meet. We met them in 2018 when both of their daughters were too young to go to school. However, they were identified as a family in need and so they were put on the waiting list. 

In 2019 their eldest became of age and joined our kindergarten class, then in 2022 their second daughter followed. During this time our social workers have been able to get to know the family. Jane and her husband struggled to make ends meet and this brought strife in their marriage. As a result this led to domestic violence that affected the little girls a lot. 

Our social workers began to walk with the family through counseling, evangelism, prayer and training equipping them to handle the struggles of supporting their family. They learned the importance of providing a safe environment for their children to grow in. 

The family was encouraged to join Outreach Hope Church and they did. Here they received salvation and Jesus brought peace into their home. They are now participating members in their church and their two daughters attend Sunday School every Sunday. The couple have become such an inspiration to other members of the society. 

We thank God for this transformation in Jane’s family.

• Our Drama club represented us in the Regional Drama Festival Competitions where they competed against other schools in song and dance.

• Pray for God’s healing upon our students and parents who are unwell and are under medication .
• Pray for our staff as they go into the community, teach and care for the children in our school. Pray that God blesses them as they go over and beyond for the Kosovo community.
