Hope Transforms: A Success Story

Paul* is a parent and recent staff member at our Missions of Hope Kibarani Center. He has 3 children, 2 of which are of school going age and joined our program. When we met Paul during school recruitment he talked about his alcohol addiction that was stopping him from being the kind of father he wanted to be. His addiction brought strife in his marriage and this troubled him. This was when his children were admitted into our program and he was relieved that even though he might not get money to feed his children they would receive 2 meals when in school.
During the social workers’ visits where they would share the word of God and CHE principles Paul accepted Jesus into his life and this is when things started to change. Paul and his family then joined Trinity Chapel where Paul went through the new believers class and was afterwards baptized. He and his family are now active members of the church.
Soon our Kibarani Center was looking for a new member of the kitchen staff. Paul applied for the job and he passed the interview. He now has a stable income that allows him to provide for his family. He has many plans for the future now as he is a better father and husband.
We thank God for Paul and his family, we pray that they continue to walk with Jesus as they navigate life.
