Hope Transforms: A Success Story

Rose* is a parent at our Kibarani Center. She lives with her husband and two children who are both students at our school. When we first met Rose during the recruitment process, she was a single mother. She and her husband had separated and she was living with her mother who is a widow.
Through our interactions with her and with the help of our Center’s Pastor, who was taking her through counseling sessions, we realized that her husband was willing to reunite with the family and make amends. Rose was reluctant, but as the counseling sessions went on she agreed to reconcile with her husband. They are currently living together as a happy family.
Rose accepted Jesus into her life while having counseling sessions with our Pastor. She was originally Muslim, but as she got to know more about Jesus she gave her life to Him and was later baptized. She is a faithful member of Trinity Chapel church here in Kibarani. Rose now leads the youth dance group where she coordinates, practices, and dances during Sunday services.
Rose has also taken steps toward economic empowerment. She joined the economic empowerment program, started saving, and was able to take a loan to begin chicken raising. She is happy that Missions of Hope came to her community. So much has changed as she took advantage of all the opportunities given to her.
*Name was changed.
